Punjab govt taking measures for provision of potable water: Minister

LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Food and Chairman Cabinet Price Control Committee Punjab Bilal Yasin has said that Punjab government is taking consolidated measures for providing potable water to the citizens.

Inaugurating a new tube-well at WASA office Bagh Munshi Ladha here on Saturday, he said that besides repair and maintenance of old tube-wells and installation of new ones, filtration plants are also being set up for the facility of the people.

Pakistan Muslim League-N was making efforts round the clock for the provision of basic facilities to the people, he added.

He said that Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif was committed to provide basic facilities like potable water, electricity and gas to the people at all costs.

He said the Punjab government was paying attention to install filtration plants at suitable places for the provision of clean water to the people throughout the province.
