PM chairs meeting over security issues

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday chaired a high level meeting to review the security issues.

In the meeting, prevailing national and regional security situation was reviewed.
Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif briefed the Prime Minister about his recent visit to Kabul and the discussions on border coordination and security for second phase of Afghan
presidential elections.

The meeting also reviewed law and order situation in Balochistan and Karachi.
The meeting was attended by Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Advisor to PM on Foreign Affairs and National Security Sartaj Aziz, DG ISI Lt. General Muhammad Zaheer-ul-Islam, Chief of General Staff Lt. General Ashfaq Nadeem, DG MO Maj. General
Amir Riaz, Secretary to PM Javaid Aslam and Additional Secretary to PM Fawad Hasan Fawad.
