Pakistani student ‘attacked’ at Indian versity returns home

LAHORE: A Pakistani student Ali Hassan Raza (24) , who was attacked by three unidentified persons with iron rods in India’s Pondicherry University, finally arrived in Pakistan, Aaj News on Saturday.

According to reports, Ali Raza Hasan a 24-year-old student from Pakistan was assaulted in Pondicherry University campus. He was doing doctorate from Indian varsity.

Police said Ali Hassan Raza, 24, a student of Unesco Madanjeet Singh Institute for South Asia Regional Cooperation (Unesco Misarc) in the university, was sleeping in his room at the Sir C V Raman Hostel on the campus when three unidentified people armed with iron rods barged into the room and attacked him,Times of India reported.

Ali Hassan ruled out element of religious extremism in his torture. He termed the incident a nightmare.

Hassan also thanked Almighty Allah, saying he was grateful to Allah after returning on his own feet to his home town.
