NA approves resolution to unblock YouTube in Pakistan


ISLAMABAD: National Assembly Of Pakistan approved a resolution to unblock video sharing website YouTube in Pakistan, Aaj News reported on Wednesday.

Pakistan National Assembly members voted in favor of a resolution tabled by PPP MNA Shazia Marri to unblock the Youtube in Pakistan on Tuesday May 6, 2014. The resolution demands the government to lift the ban on the video sharing website as soon as possible.

It is pertinent to know that YouTube was blocked in Pakistan in September 2012 after it refused to remove blasphemous content on the request of the country’s government.
