MQM observes mourning day today

KARACHI: Leaders and workers of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Party (MQM) announced to conduct a mourning day today, after recovering four tortured bodies of their party workers, Aaj News reported.

According to the sources, four tortured bodies were recovered from Memon Goth area located in Karachi on Thursday, after which the Chief and prominent leaders of MQM party announced to administer a mourning day today.

Deputy Convener, Dr. Khalid Maqbool, while speaking in a press conference yesterday, held at nine zero announced that the mourning day will be conducted peacefully with a quiet protest against repression, barbarism and extrajudicial murders.

Dr. Khalid Maqbool also asked the Chief Justice to take some strict actions against the killing of their party workers, whereas he also blamed the Govt. to be responsible in a way that they are continuously negotiating with the culprits, who not even accept the constitution of Pakistan.

Meanwhile, all the schools will remain close today, due to the strike called in by the MQM, whereas all the Matric and Intermediate exams which were scheduled today have been postponed.
