LAHORE: Strong wind and rain in some cities including the provincial capital broke the spell of heat in the plains of the country on Tuesday,dropping temperatures markedly.
Widespread rain lashed most parts of the province on Monday last evening which made the weather pleasant as 28 degree celsius was registered as maximum while minimum temperature remained 15.8 C in the city.
According to local Met office,strong westerly wave system is likely to persist over the country and is expected to prevail during next 24 to 48 hours.
Met office has forecast partly cloudy/thunderstorm rain for the city and wide spread thunderstorm rain/chances of heavy rainfall at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Sargodha and Gujranwala divisions during next 24 hours.
