NAUSHAHRO FEROZE: The Sindh government has planned a 10-day campaign to immunise children against measles from May 19 for which all arrangements have been completed.
Dr. Fida Hussain Memon, the district focal person of preventive measles drive, briefed a meeting that the children from the age of 6 months to 10 years would be vaccinated during the campaign. A total 403,544 children would be vaccinated during the drive. For this purpose, over 70 teams will be deputed and 4810 mobiles would also take part in the campaign.
District Health Officer Dr Tufail Ahmed Baloch, Additional DC Safdar Ali Bhogio, Additional DC II Altaf Gohar Memon, and all talukas assistant commissioners, Mukhtiarkars, Health Departments PPHI, police and representatives of NGOs were present.
