ISLAMABAD: Like other parts of the globe, the Labour Day is being observed in Pakistan on Thursday to pay tributes to the martyrs of Chicago, who laid their lives for the rights of labourers, Aaj News reported.
It is celebrated all across the world on 1st of May which has been declared as the traditional spring holiday in the Europe and Pakistan.
Pakistan Workers Federation has arranged a peaceful Labour rally and demanded better social security and wages for workers, restoration of labour laws, and end to privatization.
The Day is marked by different seminars as well to highlight the fundamental and basic rights of the working class.
Labor unions throughout Pakistan rallies where union leaders deliver speeches emphasizing the history of Labor Day and its importance.
