Kashmiris’ freedom sentiments can’t be defeated: Yasin Malik

ISLAMABAD: Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik remembering prominent liberation leaders, Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Farooq and Khawaja Abdul Ghani Lone on the eve of their anniversaries, has said that no power on earth can defeat the Kashmiris’ freedom sentiments, which, he added, are adorned with the blood of martyrs.

Muhammad Yasin Malik in a press statement issued in Srinagar, said, “Today, we remember the two leaders who sacrificed their lives for the cause of freedom, KMS reported.

Remembering Mirwaiz Muhammad Farooq, the JKLF chairman said, “Shaheed Mirwaiz belonged to a family that has always inspired Kashmiris by leading them in the fields of politics, education, and religion.

He tolerated hardships, torture and oppression in the way of freedom and finally sacrificed his life for the truth.”

“Khawaja Abdul Ghani Lone was one of the best politicians, intellectual and human being, always fighting for the cause of freedom and tolerating all hardships and sufferings in this way,” he added.

He said Lone rejected power and joined freedom struggle, never to look back. “His separation was a personal loss for me as he was a selfless well wisher of JKLF and we will never forget his sacrifices,” added Yasin Malik.

Meanwhile, imprisoned JKLF leader, Sheikh Nazir Ahmad, serving life sentence in Central Jail was presented before a court in Srinagar. “The health of detained JKLF leader is fast deteriorating and jail authorities have failed to provide him with necessary medical facilities, it was said in a statement issued by JKLF.
