Imran reiterates his demand for verification of votes in four constituencies

ISLAMABAD: Chairman, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan Tuesday reiterated his demand for verification of votes in four constituencies.

He said that free, fair and transparent election is a pre-requisite that can bolster democracy and democratic institutions in the country.

He expressed these views while addressing a press conference alongwith the party’s senior leader Javed Hashmi and Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa (KP) Pervez Khattak here on Tuesday.

Khan queried about the dialogue process between the government and the Taliban groups and said that there is a ambiguity about the peace talks.

On this occasion, KPK Chief Minister Pervez Khattak complained that despite the fact that the province was generating extra electricity, gas and petrol, yet it was not given its due right.

“We are being unfairly treated due to which we are facing deficit in our budget,” he said and demanded the federation to treat the KP at par with the Punjab province.
