Heavy rain in Lahore, more likely

LAHORE: Heavy rain on Tuesday Morning lashed provincial capital and other parts of the province, turning the weather pleasant and inundating some roads.

Families rushed to parks and open places to enjoy pleasant change in the weather.They thronged Bagh-e-Jinnah (Lawrence Garden), Zoo, Jillani Park, Minar-e-Pakistan and
Gulshan Iqbal Park to enjoy the pleasant weather.’

Some sections of major roads, including Lawrence Road, Mcload Road, Nicholson Road, Davis Road and Jail Road were inundated with rainwater that disrupted traffic flow during
the day.

Several vehicles got stuck in the traffic due to the heavy rain and rainwater on roads in many localities. Responding to APP queries, the Met official said that more rain-thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in Gujranwala and Lahore divisions in next 24 hours.

Official said that temperature is also likely to decrease during the next couple of days.
The maximum temperature recorded on Tuesday was 32 degree Celsius and the minimum touched 22 degree centigrade.
