LAHORE: The countrywide electricity loadshedding has stopped for the time being, claimed the National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC), Aaj News reported on Tuesday.
According to NTDC, the weather turning pleasant after rains has bridged the gap between the demand and supply of electricity and a new schedule of loadshedding would now be issued.
NTDC spokesman said that the demand and supply of electricity stand tied as both the demand and generation of electricity currently pegged at 11,000 megawatts making the temporary end of loadshedding possible.
The supply of furnace oil and gas to all the powerhouses has also been increased, he added.
He said that the new schedule of loadshedding would be issued in accordance with the demand and supply gap.
