According to the reports, ATC judge Atiq Urrehman resumed hearing of the case wherein Musharraf’s counsel presented an application seeking exemption for his client from today’s court appearance.

It was submitted in the application that the former military ruler is in Karachi and unable to travel to Islamabad due to severe backache.

Although, the prosecution lawyer, Amir Nadeem Tabish, opposed the leniency for the accused; but the court accepted the application and ordered that the former president be produced on the next hearing on May 23.
