Three killed, 35 injured as truck of Cholistan Rangers overturns

RAHIM YAR KHAN: Three personnel of Cholistan Rangers and 35 others suffered injuries when a truck they were riding overturned, some 30 km away from here, in the wee hours of Saturday.

According to Rangers sources, a truck of Cholistan Rangers was carrying staffers from their duty place to RY Khan when it turned turtle near Sodhian, Cholistan.

As a result, naik Majeed Asghar of Noorpur (Khushab), naik Arshad Mehmood of Kanganpur (Kasur) and sepoy Allah Ditta of Baddo Malhi (Narowal) died on the spot while 35 others sustained injuries.

The injured were shifted to Sheikh Zayed Hospital RY Khan from where 20 of them were discharged after first aid.

The funeral prayers of shaheed rangers personnel were offered at Cholistan Rangers Headquarters RY Khan which was attended by Commandant Cholistan Rangers Col. Tasawar and other officials.

Later, bodies were sent to their native towns for burial.
