TDAP to hold exhibitions in Delhi, Karachi

KARACHI: Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) will arrange ‘Life Style Exhibition’ in New Delhi in September 2014.

Meanwhile , ‘Expo Pakistan’ will, also, be held in Karachi in which real buyers and investors from foreign countries would be invited, said Chief Executive Officer TDAP, S.M. Muneer. He was speaking at a dinner reception hosted for him by Korangi Association of Trade and Industry, said a KATI release here on Friday.

TDAP’s CEO, S.M.Muneer said the confidence of the people particularly of industrialists into government is increasing day by day while foreign investors besides local ones are now showing their interest to invest in Pakistan.

He said that favourable environment plays an important role in investment and industrialization, law and order situation of Karachi was, comperatively, improving. Rangers and Police have been playing an important role for restoring peace and security in the city, he added.

Brig. Basit Shuja from Pakistan Rangers said that the police and rangers are trying to improve law and order situation in Karachi and for that purpose they are even sacrificing their lives. For the betterment of economy of the country , present government has decided to take steps due to which Karachi will again become peaceful and regain its status as city of lights.

He said the police and rangers have arrested around 12,000 accused of various crimes in joint operation.

Of them, 5,700 peoples have been released from courts on bail.

The main crimes in the city are target killing, extorsion and kidnapping for ransom. President, All Karachi Industrial Alliance, Mian Zahid Hussain, President KATI, Syed Farukh Mazhar, Chairman Afeef Group, Rashid Ahmed Siddiqui, Chairman Law and Order Standing Committee of KATI, Nadeem Khan, immediate past chairman KATI, Mohammad Zubair Chhaya also spoke.

Saeeduddin from Hong Kong, Arif Habib, Abdul Sami Khan, Talat Jabeen, Gulzar Firoz, Akbar Farooqui, Hasham A.Razzak, Faraz-ur-Rehman, Masood Naqi, Syed Johar Ali Qandhari and others were also present.
