Targeted operations likely to point political workers

KARACHI: Leaders of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Jamat-e-Islami (JI) and Awami National Party (ANP) claimed that the ongoing targeted operation against the criminals in Karachi has been diverted towards their party members and workers, Aaj News reports.

According to the reports, ANP leader Shahi Syed said that Karachi targeted operation is being conducted against only for political leaders and supporters, but not for militants.

Jamat-e-Islami leader, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, while protesting outside the Karachi Press Club said that the targeted operation is being made controversial.

ANP leader Shahi Syed said that the strategy behind these operations likely seems to target the workers and members of political parties.
