South Korean PM reached Islamabad on a 4-day visit

Islamabad: Prime Minister of Republic of Korea Chung Hongwon has reached to Islamabad on a four-day official visit on Sunday, Aaj News reported.

Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal welcomed the Korean premier and his delegation at the Nur Khan Airbase. The Korean ambassador in Pakistan was also present on the occasion. Clad in traditional dresses, a young boy and a girl presented bouquets to the dignitary.

During his stay, the South Korean leader will meet Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, followed by delegation-level talks. He will also call on President Mamnoon Hussain.

It is pertinent to know that Chung Hongwon is visiting Pakistan at the invitation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1983, this is the first-ever prime minister level visit to Pakistan from the Republic of Korea.
