KARACHI : The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the Mutahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) have decided to work together in Sindh, Aaj News reported on Tuesday.
According to the reports, the MQM has decided to join the Sindh government with certain MQM MPA’s joining the provincial cabinet.
According to sources, as many as 6 members of the Sindh Assembly belonging to the MQM will be sworn in as provincial ministers in the next 72 hours. Currently the two parties are working out details of portfolios that will be held by the new ministers.
It is pertinent to know that last month, Sindh information minister Sharjeel Inam Memon had hinted at MQM’s possible switch to the treasury benches.
“The MQM has been an ally to the PPP in the past and there would be no harm if they once again decide to join the treasury benches,” he said.
