Senate Chairman accepts MQM’s Mustafa Kamal resignation

ISLAMABAD: Senator Chairman Nayar Bukhari has approved resignation of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Syed Mustafa Kamal, who was asked by his party to quit the seat in the upper house of Parliament last year Aaj News reported on Tuesday.

According to the reports, his resignation was submitted to the Senate Secretariat. The Senate chairman informed Kamal about acceptance of his resignation through telephone.

Some personal reasons of Mustafa Kamal are behind his resignation, he said.

It is pertinent to know that the former Karachi Nazim, who got elected to the upper house of parliament in 2011, left the country in mid-August last year.
