Karachi: Under the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK), Matriculation exams have begun in Karachi today, Aaj News reported on Wednesday.
According to the reports, Over 340,000 students will appear for the Board of Secondary Education Karachi examination.
Of the 295 exam centres where students will appear in two shifts, 33 centres have been declared “highly sensitive”.
These centres exist in seven towns of the city and are known for having a volatile law and order situation.
As per the orders of Karachi Commissioner Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui Section 144 remain functional during the exams. Meanwhile, Photostat shops will remain close during the exams timings. However, gatherings within 200 yards of exam centres have also been banned by the authorities.
