KPK government ready to hold LB elections: Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief, Imran Khan, on Tuesday said that government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) was ready to hold Local Body (LB) elections in the province on April 30.

Talking to media outside the parliament, he said, according to recent survey around 57 percent people are satisfied with the performance of PTI government .

The chairman of PTI said that formation of a committee by the National Assembly to investigate the allegation of non-payment of taxes by members of parliamentarian and report within 90 days is a good development.

He said firstly the committee should investigate non-payment of taxes by party heads. “I offer my self for the investigation first”, he added.

Imran Khan said that payment of taxes by the parliamentarians would enhance prestige of Parliament. He asked all the parliamentarians to declare their assets in and outside the country.

PTI Chairman said tax collection cannot be improved unless the politicians themselves set the example.

To a question about street children football team, he said, Pakistan has incredible talent in all the sports. He said changing of cricket team captains would harm performance of the team.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that PTI in consultation with other opposition parties would challenge the Pakistan Protection Bill.
