Karachi: Three thieves killed in a police encounter

KARACHI: Three thieves were killed in the wee hours on Friday in two different police encounters, which took place in Muhammad Ali Society and Orangi Town respectively, Aaj News reported.

The police sources revealed that the thieves, who were encountered by the police were involved in looting citizens near Tipu Sultan traffic Signal in Muhammad Ali Society.

SP police Jamshed Town, Rana Shohaib stated that the police team, following a lead raided the respective area and warned the accused to drop off their weapons, but unfortunately they started to fire on us, due to which we had to fire back in exchange.

One thief was killed at the spot, whereas two other sustained injuries. Meanwhile, the police officials were about to arrest them, they managed to escape from the scene in an injured condition.

On the other hand, another encounter took place in Pirabad area of Orangi Town, where two thieves were shot dead, whereas one of their group member managed to escape from the scene.
