JKLF continues polls boycott drive in IOK

ISLAMABAD: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) is continuing its polls boycott campaign and organising programmes in various areas of the Indian Occupied Kashmir urging the people to stay away from the so-called elections.

The JKLF spokesman, in a statement issued in Srinagar, said the party leaders and activists, including Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi, Master Muhammad Afzal, Siraj-ud-Din Mir, Sheikh Abdul Rasheed, Professor Javed, Moulvi Muhammad Yaqoob Rabbani, Ashraf bin Salam, Sheikh Abdul Ghaffar, Gulzar Ahmed, Abdul Rasheed, Syed Nisar Jilani and Ghulam Jilani, visited different areas of Srinagar, Badgam, Tangmarg, Kupwara, Rafiabad and Bandipora in connection with the polls boycott campaign, reported KMS.

He said the JKLF leaders on the occasion appealed to the people to boycott the sham polls.
They said casting votes in the farcical elections was detrimental to the ongoing liberation movement as India exploited these elections in its favour at the international level.

He said that the party leaders and activists distributed pamphlets regarding the importance of staying away from the election drama.

The spokesman also condemned the continued illegal detention of the JKLF Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Bashir Ahmad Butt, Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri and Muhammad Azeem Zargar.
