IG directed for strict security on Bhutto’s death anniversary

KARACHI: IG Sindh Police Iqbal Mehmood has directed police officers to ensure extra-ordinary and comprehensive security arrangements in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, and the rest of Larkana district and its adjoining districts and tehsils on the death anniversary of former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto on April 4 (Today).

The IG Sindh also directed that besides snap checking, vigilance and intelligence collection all possible measures should be taken at the entry points of Sindh from other provinces of the country and on all the passages leading to Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, said a handout issued here on Thursday.

He said that all types of parking around Garhi Khuda Bakhsh graveyard and main roads should be banned. Police picketing, snap checking and patrolling should also be ensured to protect the life and property of the people, he added.

The IG Sindh said that security measures will be taken for the security of convoys coming to Garhi Khuda Bakhsh.
