Govt. Taliban negotiations will take place in FATA: Prof. Ibrahim

PESHAWAR: The government appointed negotiating team will meet with the Taliban shura in the Federally Administered Tribal Area (FATA) in the next 2-3 days, Aaj News reported.

Prof. Ibrahim said that the release of non-combatant Taliban will be accompanied by the arrangement of meetings of the under arrest Taliban with the members of their families and those found innocent will be released on a case-to-case basis

While talking to Aaj News Professor Ibrahim, member of the Taliban nominated negotiating team said that peace can be restored only through negotiation. Details regarding the location of the second round of talks between the Taliban shura & the government team will become clear in the coming days, he said.

He further added that the govt committee will conducted the negotiation with Taliban in FATA. However, the process of peace restoration in the country is continued by the govt.
