Talking to APP, after the joint meeting of government and Taliban committees here, he said they discussed matters relating to direct meeting with Taliban Shura.
He said both sides agreed to continue the peace talks, which was a welcome sign.
He aid all issues would be discussed in the direct meeting.
Earlier, head of Taliban committee Maulana Samiul Haq said both the committees expressed satisfaction over the peace process despite certain reservations.
He said they reviewed the prospects and hurdles in the peace process. “The Taliban committee will continue efforts to make dialogue process successful”, he added.
Maulana said the committee would contact Taliban Shura to finalize arrangements for direct talks.
