Former army chief offered secret deal: counsel

One of the counsel for former army chief and President Pervez Musharraf, Ahmed Raza Kasuri, on Wednesday claimed the government had asked Musharraf to cut a deal by signing a bond. According to that bond, Musharraf will be required to pledge that he will be staying away from the country for at least five years.

A private TV channel quoted Kasuri as saying that the former military ruler rejected that ‘secret deal’ offer.

However, Federal Minister for Information and BroadcastingPervaiz Rashid rejected Kasuri’s claim. Speaking to another TV channel, he said the government had not offered any of deal to Musharraf.
