ISLAMABAD: Danish Ambassador to Pakistan Jesper Moller Sorensen has said that his country is keen to develop strong trade ties with Pakistan in various sectors, especially agriculture, recycled energy and dairy.
For the purpose, a trade development center has been established by the Danish Embassy here, he added.
There were huge investment opportunities in Pakistan and he was personally informing the Danish companies in this regard, he said while talking to APP.
He said Denmark had excelled in agriculture, farming and dairy industry, with a number of Danish companies involved in these areas.
“We want to transfer modern technology to Pakistan, especially in agriculture, farming and dairy sectors,” he added.
Highlighting the importance of energy for Pakistan, the envoy said solar energy tube-wells could prove a good option to improve agriculture.
Meanwhile, a delegation of Danish agriculture experts is on a one-week visit here to conduct a study about agriculture. Henry Jorgensen, a member of the delegation, told APP that they would identify areas in Pakistani agriculture where Danish companies could invest.
He said the Pakistani agriculture sector was a dynamic sector and they would help farmers here to specialize in certain areas like dairy farming etc.
He said the Danish companies could help university students to improve their research work in agriculture sector.
