Abid seeks parliamentarians support to control power theft

ISLAMABAD: While appreciating the positive gesture of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Parliamentarian Khyal Zaman Orakzai, State Minister for Water and Power Chaudhary Abid Sher Ali on Thursday urged all other parliamentarians to cooperate government for overcoming power pilferage in their constituencies.

Talking to PTI MNA Khyal Zaman who met him here, the minister said meter would be provided to all consumers of district Hangu. The minister also directed officials of Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) to arrange meter by Monday to all consumers on war footing, said a press release issued here.

On the occasion, the MNA assured that the consumers would remove illegal Kunda and would ready for installing meters.

Abid Sher Ali appreciated the positive gesture and requested the other parliamentarians to follow the pursuit and convince consumers of their constituencies to remove Kunda and install meters.

Meanwhile, the minister deplored MPA Fazal Ellahi attitude and circulated a footage to the media outlets in which, the MPA was allegedly abusing and threatening the minister and PESCO officials.
