KARACHI: Pertaining to delimitation of constituencies, the Supreme Court upheld the decision of Sindh High Court (SHC), Aaj News reported on Thursday.
The three-member bench of the apex court, headed by Chief Justice, Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani was hearing Karachi law and order implementation case here Thursday.
On the appeal against SHC decision on the delimitation of constituencies for local bodies (LB) polls in Sindh, the apex court issued verdict.
In its order, the apex court stated that legislation should be made for delimitation of constituencies. Further more, the delimitation process should be completed in five months.
Delimitation of constituencies and holding election was responsibility of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), the court observed.
