MULTAN: PTI vice chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Friday backed targeted operation against anti-state elements refusing constitutional writ of the state and creating chaos in the country.
Talking to journalists here, he said there were about 20 percent insurgents out in waging war against people of the country and its territory. He claimed that 80 percent TTP factions were ready to hold dialogue in order to establish peace in the motherland.
He said, meeting between PTI Chief Imran Khan and the Prime Minister was a good sign to create harmony and stability. He said, PTI and PML-N were close on agenda against terrorism. He dispelled impression that PTI had sympathy with Taliban, saying that they only wanted peace and patriotic atmosphere in the country.
Shah Mahmood said, Pakistan’s enemies were constantly supporting the insurgents who had posed gun against their own people. He insisted on chalking out the policy that could take to task only rebellious people.
He said, the government must get out of US war which cost nothing for the country. He said, situation in Afghanistan was continually changing and Pakistan must keep eyes on it to avert any unpleasant situation that might leave bad impact upon the country.
