PESHAWAR: Chairman Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has approved major changes in the provincial cabinet resultantly the cabinet would be swelled by four ministers and elevation of cabinet member as senior minister, said Information Minister Shah Farman here on Friday.
The PTI chief Imran Khan gave the approval during a meeting of the PTI’s core committee two days earlier.
Announcing the decisions at a press briefing here, the Information Minister said that Mushtaq Ghani, Qalandar Khan Lodhi, Ikramullah Khan Gandapur and Ziaullah Afridi have been inducted into the provincial cabinet and would be assigned the portfolios later.
Provincial Agriculture Minister Shahram Khan Tarakai has been elevated to the position of a senior minister. Tarakai’s portfolio is yet to be announced but sources say he is likely to get the charge of the Communication and Works Department. The much expected change in portfolios of Health Minister Shaukat Yusafzai has also been approved and he has now been assigned the Ministry for Industries.
