ISLAMABAD: The Aiwan-e-Sadr, on the special directive of President Mamnoon Hussain, has launched a series of events to mark the Pakistan Day on March 23 in a befitting manner.
The events marking the auspicious occasion have already begun with the President inaugurating Islamabad’s first polo ground.
Termed the sport as ‘proud heritage’, he announced that a tournament will be held every March 23rd at this club to commemorate the Pakistan Day.
On March 21, the President inaugurated the three-day exhibition on Cultural Heritage at Lok Virsa that will continue till March 23 and will highlight the rich culture and traditional ethos of the country.
The second programme, the same day is a Pakistan Television’s special programme ‘Manzil-e-Murad’ at the Aiwan-e-Sadr focusing on national songs and debates.
On March 22, President Mamnoon will inaugurate a photographic exhibition titled ‘Pakistan Art’ at the Pakistan National Council of Arts. The country’s prominent artists will display their artworks mainly based on the topics related to the ideology of Pakistan and
the Pakistan Movement.
President Mamnoon on March 23 will review a Pakistan Day parade at the Aiwan-e-Sadr and will give away awards and medals to the distinguished figures at an investiture ceremony.
On March 24, the President will attend a ‘Pakistan Mushaira’ at the Islamabad Club. Poets from across the country will participate at the event with zeal and fervour.
