KARACHI : Severe differences have emerged within Pakistan Peoples Party over the mishandling of famine in Thar, with one parliamentary group demanding the removal of Chief Minister Sindh, Aaj News reported.
Whereas, The Sindh Government has decided to sack two provincial ministers for their callous response to the situation in Thar. According to sources, decision regarding the removal of Food Minister Jam Mehtab Daher and Minister for disaster management Makhdoom Jamil-ul-Zaman had been finalized.
The top-brass of PPP had also authorized the decision taken by the Government to sack its ministers and they will be removed from their positions soon, Sources told. Relief Commissioner Lala Fazl ur Rehman has already been sacked and Adviser to CM Taj Haider is likely to take charge of the vacant position.
A group of PPP Parliamentarian demanded resignation from the CM Qaim Ali Shah and held Sindh Government responsible for the situation in Thar whereas Opposition Leader Khursheed Shah was active to ease off the tension within the party. Few of the Parliamentarian made contact with the Former President Asif Ali Zardari and slammed the failure caused by the poor performance of the Sindh Government, demanding the removal of CM Qaim Ali Shah, after which Asif Ali Zardari handed the decision to Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
