More wheat dispatched to drought stricken areas

MITHI: The Deputy Commissioner Tharparkar Asif Ikram has said that sufficient quantity of wheat bags have been transported to far flung desert areas of the district and the administration has made effective measures for its transparent distribution to drought hit people.

Talking to media persons after dispatching the trucks loaded with wheat bags to far flung desert areas of the district here on Saturday, he said Sindh government is continuously providing wheat bags and also resolved the issue of transporters so that the distribution of wheat could be ensured in far flung areas of the district.

He informed that the district administration has so far received 0.1 million wheat bags from Sindh government and the remaining bags, allocated for the district will be handed over soon to the administration.
