KARACHI: The case regarding Nagan Chowarangi incident has been registered in New Karachi Police Station against the Ranger personnel, under murder, attempt of murder and kidnapping on the complaint of widow of the deceased, Aaj News reported.
According to the sources, the police has lodged a case against the Rangers personnel for starting fire on a couple in Nagan Chowrangi area near Siddiqu-Akbar Masjid on doubtful suspects, without any verification and warning, under murder, attempt of murder and kidnapping charges. On the other hand, the victim’s sisters said that the police has not registered the case on their complaint, whereas they have also torn off the FIR page.
It is pertinent to know that due to this incident the man was dead and the women suffered injuries, who later lodged a complaint regarding the incident.
On the other hand, Ranger spokesman said that the Rangers personnel fired warning shots but the husband did not stop assaulting his wife, due to which the Rangers personnel opened fire.
After the incident, tension gripped in the nearby areas, whereas all kind of business activities were closed down. Meanwhile, the residents of the area also pelted stones on Rangers and police officials to record their protest.
