ISLAMABAD: Renowned analyst Hassan Latif has said that Cyber laws are required to be implemented in practice to ensure ban on illegal use of internet.
Talking to BBC Radio, he said that some people are in favor of making strict laws to ensure ban on illegal internet websites while others are against of it, by saying that it would affect freedom of the people.
Analyst said that there are laws in the country regarding the misuse of internet but they are not implemented.
Refereing to the Telecommunication Act, Latif said that Telecommunication has its own laws, adding that some laws are stricter.
Responding to a question, he stated that terrorism could also be decreased and controlled if the laws are implemented in true sense.
He further stated, some laws should be amended and updated. He said that freedom of people would not be affected by implementation of some laws, rather it would ensure ban on illegal websites.
