ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Co-ordinator of government negotiating committee Irfan Siddiqui held a meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif here on Sunday and apprised him of the progress made in talks with the Taliban committee.
Irfan Siddiqui reportedly updated the Prime Minster pertaining to the second round of talks with the Taliban committee and stated that announcement of cease-fire from Taliban was awaited.
The Prime Minister termed the Karachi terrorist attack a great setback for the ongoing peace talks.
Siddiqui stated that a meeting with the representative committee of Taliban was expected in the next couple of days and added that no contact had been made with Taliban either before the meeting with the Prime Minister or after.
