LAHORE: Police has submitted the speeding ticket in court against Pakistani Cricket star Umar Akmal for violating traffic rules and scuffling with a traffic warden the other day, Aaj News reports.
According to police sources, the speeding ticket has been submitted by SP Investigation of Gulberg Police Station.
On February 1, the 23-year-old cricket star was charged with violating the traffic rules and scuffling with the traffic warden after he failed to stop at a traffic signal and refused to show documents. Traffic warden Mohammad Zeeshan accused Akmal of tearing his uniform and assaulting him.
“It was a case of police showing their strength and I tried my level best to resolve the matter,” said Akmal, who regularly plays one-days for Pakistan.
