KARACHI: MQM announced to have mourning-day today on Friday in a press conference released yesterday in regard to the judicial killings of their party workers. Transports, shops and private schools will also remain closed, Aaj News reported.
According to the press conference released yesterday at Nine-Zero, Haider Abbas Rizvi said that 40 party workers of MQM are still missing but the authorities are taking no action regarding this issue. “MQM has given its utmost sincerity and sacrifices for Sindh.”, said Haider. He also mentioned that this day will be attended with peace. All the party workers and members will wear a black band to mark this day.
It is pertinent to know that MQM Rabitta Committee had a press conference yesterday on Thursday in which they announced to have mourning-day in regard to the judicial killings of their party workers and members. They also wanted the Govt. and authorities to bring this issue in notice.
According to the Traders of Karachi (Sindh Tajir Ittehad), there would be a shutter-down of all kinds of public transports including the goods transports, whereas wholesale markets, private schools and colleges will remain closed. In accordance to this day, Hyderabad Traders, Saraafa Association will also remain closed.
