ISLAMABAD: Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain Wednesday said that government was working to modernizing and equipping the defence production industries in a better way.
He made these remarks while talking to representative of leading European Company Thales including its Vice President Middle East, Marc Duflot, Managing Director, Pierre Marie Durand and Country Director, Patric Defranoux during a meeting in his Chamber in National Assembly here.
Rana Tanveer Hussain said that defence equipment modifications and upgradation was a continuous subject and his ministry was continuously working on it.
“Land, air and sea operations are continuously evolving and there is a need for new communication and operational tools,” he added.
Marc Duflot said that Pakistan today has a thriving defence production industry, adding, “We look forward to working with Pakistan.”
The Minister said,”Keeping in view the capability and skill of Pakistan armed forces, we are determined at MoDP to provide and equip our soldiers and men in uniform with best standard and quality ammunition and weapons.”
“We rank among one of the best armed forces and we will further equip them to better face challenges ahead,” he added.
Both the sides agreed to work towards evolving new areas of cooperation.
