KARACHI: Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqi has said that the government is striving to resolve the problems which are being confronted by the industrialists, investors and traders.
He said that all available resources were being employed to resolve the problems of traders and investors on priority basis, said a statement on Thursday.
The Commissioner said the business community was being provided maximum possible relief so as to give boost to trade and commerce activities.
A 10-member liaison committee led by the Commissioner Karachi had also been constituted, in this regard, on the directives of the government, he added.
The Director Local Government Karachi, the Assistant Commissioner Revenue, President FPCCI Zakariya Usman, Senior Vice President Shaukat Ahmed, Vice President Khurram Saeed, VP Ismail Sattar, VP Mazhar Ali Nasir, Chairman SC Liaison with Government, Muhammad Sheeraz and General Secretary/CEO, M.A.Lodhi are other members of the committee.
The Commissioner has said that the committee will facilitate the business community and also play its role to resolve the problems of business community.
He said the committee will hold its meeting once in a month and all its members will remain in contact with one another.
The Commissioner said that the FPCCI was a large representative organisation of business community and it valued its role in bringing economic stability in the country.
He said that maintenance of law and order in Sindh and ensuring security to the members of business community were among the top priorities of the government.
He said the Sindh Governor and the Sindh Chief Minister were determined to provide relief to the business community and active efforts were being made in this regard.
