FAISALABAD: Punjab Governor Ch. Muhammad Sarwar on Tuesday advised the police officials to promote law and justice and take maximum possible care while registering criminals cases.
Addressing the awards distribution ceremony here at Police Lines, he said that the valiant soldiers of Pakistan Army were not only protecting the frontiers of the country but also countering subversive activities within the country and the police force was effectively curbing the activities of anti-social/criminal elements and rendering sacrifices for the cause of law and order.
He said that the police and people should endeavor to provide justice to the poor segments of the society.
He said that a dedicated team of the police and civil officers were existing in Faisalabad whose team work would help resolve multiple problems of people in the city.
Ch. Muhammad Sarwar said that he was very much optimistic that although we were facing great problems to put the country on road to prosperity but ultimately our dedicated efforts will bring fruit and the multiple problems of the people would be resolved.
He said that he was very much delighted to know that complete law and order was maintained in Faisalabad by hectic efforts of the police during Muharram, Rabiul Awal and Alam Processions and not a single mishap took place during these days.
He said the Punjab Government would focus on various welfare projects of Faisalabad police and he would discuss these projects during his meeting with the Punjab Chief Minister. He assured that while granting monetary help to Police Officials, no deadline will be fixed. He also assured that the multiple problems of the Faisalabad Police Jawans will be resolved with the financial support from local industrialists and philanthropists.
Earlier, CPO Dr. Haider Ashraf in his address of welcome appreciated the role of police in Faisalabad and apprised that a number of police officials were martyred while fighting with hard criminals and absconders. RPO, Muhammad Nawaz Warraich also spoke on this occasion.
Later, Commissioner, Muhammad Akram Jawed,Mian Muhammad Farooq MNA, Rana Nisar Ahmad MNA, Zahid Yasin Hashmi, Principal Punjab Medical College (PMC) and Presidents of District Bar Association (DBA) and Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Indusry (FCCI) gave away awards to police officials for their outstanding performance.
CPO Dr. Haider Ashraf also presented a shield to the Punjab Governor.
