ISLAMABAD: Minister for State and Frontier Regions (SEFRON) Lieutenant General (retd) Abdul Qadar Baloch Tuesday said the government would start dialogue with Taliban after unconditional ceasefire by the latter.
Talking to the media outside the Parliament House here, he said, “The government peace committee will not hold negotiations with the Taliban peace committee until unconditional ceasefire were announced by the Taliban.”
He said the government was sincere to continue the peace process, but the Taliban were not sincere to carry forward the same.
No one would be allowed to challenge the writ of government, he added.
Replying to a question, the minister said the Pakistan Army was capable to eliminate terrorists from the country.
Baloch said the government would take all possible steps to restore peace in the country.
