PESHAWAR: Anti Terrorist Court (ATC) Haripur Saturday convicted two members of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and sentenced them to 20 years and five years imprisonment respectively.
The court convicted Farooq resident of Dhamtore Abbotabad District and sentenced him to 20 years imprisonment while Ashraf resident of Mangal to five years imprisonment.
The court released one of their accomplices due to lack of evidence.
The police had recovered a rocket launcher, three suicide vests and mortar shells during Nakabandi in October 2013.
The accused were wanted in attack on some important installations in Kakul in 2012 besides killing of SHO who was killed while chasing them after a bank dacoity in July 2013 in Manshera district.
The IGP KP Nasir Khan Durrani announced cash awards and commendation certificates for the police officers and officials for successful investigation into the case.
