KARACHI: Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Sindh has condemned killing of polio workers in Karachi.
In a statement they said the incident was reflective of lack of will to counter terrorists with firm hands. “This is despite the fact that they have established their intentions to challenge government writ and also to use precious human
lives as a means to create chaos,” said Dr Idress Adhi.
The PMA official registering his serious concern about Tuesday morning incident said this was again a reflection of our weakness to take to task the elements against polio campaign.
“We need not to make lofty claims only but also establish will to eradicate polio virus from our environment and protect children against the crippling disease,” he said.
Dr Adhi also demanded protection for health workers and medical professionals.
