ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif briefed the four-member-committee to initiate peace talks on immediate basis and said that the committee will be able to exercise autonomy during the dialogues with Taliban. Aaj News reported.
The session was attended by all four member that include Irfan Siddiqui, Rahimullah Yusufzai, Rustam Shah Mehmand and Major (retd) Amir. Chaudary Nisar was also present in this meeting.
During the meeting, PM instructed the committee to take immediate action to restore peace within the country and to initiate peace talks with Taliban on immediate basis. He also mentioned to keep the interior Minister informed about the actions and strategies planned regarding it.
PM Nawaz briefed about the role of Chudary Nisar in the committee and said that he will be responsible of providing all secret information, foolproof security and resources to the committee members.
