PTI’s drama against drone attacks flopped: Rana Sana

LAHORE: Law Minister Punjab Rana Sana Ullah Khan on Thursday said that Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf could not halt drone attacks through sit-ins.

Infact, he said, the party was staging a flopped drone drama to divert masses’s attention from core issues confronting the PTI-led government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Talking to media outside the Punjab Assembly, he said, holding protest at Hayatabad Toll Plaza and snatching purses from drivers could not help stop drone attacks. He said, the NATO had many routes for supplies and according to his information they face no hinderance that they would change their route. He said that NATO was not one country’s institution rather it represented a number of countries. He said, relations with America could not be spoiled on non-issue.

The Law Minister urged the PTI leadership not to toe Jewish agenda to destabilise the country at a time when Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was endeavouring to develop a consensus within Pakistan on drone attacks.

Answering a question, Rana Sana said, local bodies polls date was fixed after consensus between the Election Commission of Pakistan and the Supreme Court of Pakistan, so there is no chance of further delay in this regard.

The minister told a questioner that Punjab University students were involved in fray, torching vehicles, and torturing the teachers and staffers could not be called as students but they are miscreants in real sense. He reiterated government’s resolve to give harsh punishment to accused students.
