Protest against Indian state terrorism in Kulgam

ISLAMABAD: In occupied Kashmir, scores of people staged a protest demonstration against Indian state terrorism in Kulgam district.

The protestors, while shouting anti-India slogans, said that one Mudasir Ahmed was kidnapped and interrogated by Indian troops at Qaimou area of the district on involvement of his brother in a Mujahid group, Kashmir Media Service reported.

The Indian army took him to a nearby camp and tortured him physically and mentally. “I was thrashed ruthlessly. It was only after I lost my conscience that they allowed me to go to my home,” Mudasir said.

The protesters have demanded stern action against the erring army personnel.

Meanwhile, a day after attackers killed a police officer and injured three others in a market in Budgam district, scores of taxi drivers said that Indian forces without any provocation beat them to pulp and caused damage to their vehicles.

The drivers added that the Indian army group dragged them on road and damaged vehicles, said a driver.
