Pervaiz asks Imran to tell about steps taken against corruption, profiteering in KP

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid on Saturday asked Chairman of Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf Imran Khan to tell the nation whether he took any step to stop corruption and profiteering in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

In a statement, the minister said Imran Khan should tell how many tax evaders of revenue department and excise had been arrested by the provincial government.

Pervaiz Rashid asked how many cases of corruption by previous governments of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had been unearthed and how many officers were prosecuted in the province for corruption.

He asked how many hoarders and profiteers were brought to book by the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He inquired whether Imran Khan had introduced the system of elected Station House Officer (SHO) system in the province as was promised by him.

“How much revenue Imran Khan has increased in the province and did he computerise land record in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa?” the Minister asked adding Imran should also tell whether police reforms were undertaken and police was depoliticized in the province.
